LSU Opens the Season vs. Appalachian State

With Hurricane Gustav looming, LSU was forced to move up its season opener with Appalachian State to 10 a.m. Tiger Stadium will most certainly have a different feel that early in the morning, and it will likely be mostly empty with fans sitting this one out to make storm preparations.

LSU will likely play three QBs tomorrow (none which have started a NCAA game before), but should be able to take care of Appalachian State. LSU is too deep for the Mountaineers and by the 4th quarter, this should become apparent. A few years ago, they made it a game going into the 4th, but LSU is just a better team now.
