Saints at Redskins

The Saints will bring a depleted team to Washington this weekend to take on the Redskins. The Saints will be without WR Marques Colston, S Roman Harper, CB Randall Gay and LBs Scott Fujita and Mark Simoneau. Many of the backups will have to play a significant part if the Saints are going to leave with a victory.

Colston's loss is a big blow, but the Saints are deep at WR. The defensive injuries will be harder to overcome. In addition to the above injuries, the Saints defensive line has been ravaged. Good thing for the Saints that this is an offensive focused team. As long as Drew Brees is lining up behind center, the Saints have a chance. Players like Reggie Bush and Jeremy Shockey will have to step up and ensure that the Saints offense doesn't miss out on any scoreing opportunites.

The Redskins are 0-1 and are looking to put up a good effort after looking bad against the NY Giants in their season opener. The Redskins offense startes with RB Clinton Portis. If the Saints can contain Portis and put pressure on young QB Jason Campbell, the Saints will win.

Predication:
New Orleans 27
Washington 25
