Saints Sign DE Alex Brown

Get ready for more Gator chops in the Big Easy, Saints fans. Yesterday the Saints signed former Chicago Bears DE Alex Brown, who went to college at Florida. DE was a big need for the Saints and most mock drafts had them taking an end with their first pick. Brown's signing fills the whole left by Charles Grant's release (I'd argue that there was still a hole there when Grant was on the roster) and allows the team to be more flexible in the draft. They may still select an end, but they can also look at defensive tackle, safety or linebacker (which is the biggest need now with Scott Fujita going to Cleveland).
