The Braves spoiled the Philadelphia fans opening day by beating the World Series Champs 4-1 last night.
The Braves looked good and #1 started Derek Lowe looked better than expected with eight innings of shut-out baseball. Rookie Jordan Schafer became the 99th MLB player to hit a home run in his first Major League at bat. He followed that up with a single in his next at bat.
The Braves, who aren't supposed to be a power-hitting team, scored all of their runs off of homers. Along with Schafer, Brian McCann and Jeff Francoeur also homered.
