Lost fans, we are less than two weeks away from the premiere of Lost season 5. To get ready for a new batch of questions and mysteries, I've decided to take a look back at some of the shows unanswered mysteries, starting with the one that has gotten a ton of buzz lately, the four-toed statue.
There are lots of rumors (and semi-confirmation from the show's creators Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof) that we will learn more about the statue this season. Ever since Sayid, Sun and Jin spotted the statue in season 2's "Live Together, Die Alone" finale, fans have wondered what the significance of it was.
Questions abound such as why are there only four toes? Who was this a statue of? How tall was the completed statue? Where's the other foot? How/why was it demolished? When was it built? One thing we have learned is that the island has an ancient past. From hieroglyphics in the hatch to the temple to the frozen donkey wheel room, it looks like there is a lot more to the island's history than we have already seen.
So what do you think? Will the four-toed statue be seen again? Will the answer to its origin really pay off or will it be more like the episode about Jack's tattoos? Does it really have significance or was this one of those, let's put this weird thing in the episode to get people talking-type of plot elements?
Lost fans, we are less than two weeks away from getting some answers.
So many questions... I just hope they answer them all before its over...
